Mesa Police Explorer Program
The Mesa Police Explorer Program is dedicated to preparing young men
and women between the ages of 14 and 21 for a career in law enforcement.
It develops a fundamental understanding of police procedures, duties and
concepts. As part of their training, Mesa Police Explorers participate
in a wide variety of community service, while working with members of
the police department.
As a non-profit organization, MCPAAA is proud to accept your donation
to help fund activities of Explorer Post #2055, such as helping them
to be able to attend conferences and competitions around the state and
country.
M.E.S.A. Program
The M.E.S.A. Program is a partnership between the Mesa Police
Department and the Mesa Unified School District. Two nine-week after school sessions are offered during the school year. Making Every
Student Accountable (M.E.S.A.) targets 13- to 15-year-old at-risk
students who exhibit a variety of behavior or disciplinary problems
and/or gang association or involvement. The program combines physical
fitness and classroom instruction to build self awareness, good decision
making, life skills and leadership skills.
As a non-profit organization, MCPAAA is proud to accept your donation
to help fund activities of this program and cover the cost of items such
as physical fitness attire, equipment and classroom needs.
Mesa Police Annual Awards Banquet
The Mesa Police Department Annual Awards Banquet recognizes officers
who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in making a difference
in our community from exceptional service to acts of bravery.
Civilian employees, as well as members of the local community, are also
recognized for their work in assisting the police department. MCPAAA is
the host for this annual event, which is made possible through donations
from local businesses and residents.
General Assistance Donations
General donations are welcome to help cover the expenses of other
programs and efforts the Mesa Citizen Police Academy Alumni
Association makes in assisting the Mesa Police Department and local
community.
