G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) is a citywide network of community gatherings held on a single evening each November. On November 7, representatives from the Mesa Police Department, Mesa Fire and Medical Department, the Mayor, City Council, and other Mesa departments intend to visit registered gatherings to help celebrate this long-standing tradition of neighborhood connection, pride, and public safety. As our nation commemorates America's 250th anniversary, G.A.I.N. provides a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the ideals that have united communities for generations. By gathering with neighbors, serving one another, and investing in the places we call home, Mesa residents can honor this historic milestone while strengthening the local connections that make our community vibrant.
The East Valley Veterans Parade in Mesa will be on Wednesday 11/11/2026. MCPAAA has volunteered the past few years for the Blue Staging area, which is the area for the marching entries. Several of you have also helped with Banner Preparation in the past in addition to Blue Staging. Anyone in MCPAAA wanting to volunteer, please contact me direct as I have spots reserved for MCPAAA. The following MCPAAA members have volunteered already: Shain Bare Diane Cantile (Red Registration) Monica Karels Connie Konkel Robert Kuligowski Stephanie McGuire Carol Nolan Sylvia Richards (Volunteer Check-In) David Sathern Laura Warner Call if you have questions.
